Songs for a Summer Evening

We had a truly musical evening...

On Saturday 23 June 2018, St. Leonard's church was filled with the sound of music and beautiful singing, thanks to sopranos Anna Burgon and Claire Scott, and organist and keyboard player, Tony Edwards.  Songs ranged from the classical Nulla in mundo pas sincera by Antonio Vivaldi, to the moving Pie Jesu by Andrew Lloyd Webber, to the hilarious When you are old and grey by Tom Lehrer.  Tony played some amazing organ solos.  Overall, the evening raised £880 for church funds.  Thank you to everyone who came along for making the evening such a great success, and to Tony, Anna and Claire for giving us such a wonderful summer evening filled with song, and to the Hardwick team for the delicious canapes.
