I was glad when they said to me,
'Let us go to the house of the Lord!'
Psalm 122:1 (NRSV)

Here in this benefice, we like to worship God in a eucharistic setting using the beautiful words of the Church of England's Common Worship liturgy.  Each of our four churches worship in their own preferred style using these contemporary and yet timeless words.  Our Sunday services reflect the changing seasons of the church and calendar year, and we like to follow the Church of England's annual pattern of Bible readings ('the Lectionary').  Each month, we also have two traditional Evensong services.

For families with young children, we have two services designed with you in mind.  At Sywell church on the 2nd Sundays of the month, we worship together as an all-age church family and share in the bread and wine of communion (Family Communion).  At Overstone church on the 4th Sunday of the month, our children's group and their leaders lead the first half of our Communion service.  Our vicar - Revd Katrina - takes over at the Peace for the Communion.  On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, young children and teenagers go to the village hall to continue their worship in Cool Christian Kids, coming back into church for the communion.

Please check our Benefice Calendar for this month's services.  Special services to celebrate our patronal festivals, harvest, remembrance, Christmas, Lent and Holy Week and Easter will be published in our calendar.  Watch out for details on our website.

We invite you to come and join us.
