Christmas Appeal for Children's Toys
This Christmas, we are looking to brighten the lives of children living in the Wellingborough area who might not be expecting to receive any presents. It is a tough time financially for some families.
Gifts of new toys - not soft ones - are invited for boys and girls in fhe following age ranges: 0-1, 2-4, 5-9, and 10-14 years. Gifts for teenagers are always in short supply. It is easy to find things for teenage girls, but boys can be more tricky. Here are some ideas: notebook and pens, toiletries, cards and card games, socks, mug, football, rugby ball, frisbee.
No need to wrap them as this will help the Wellingborough Family Hub team choose the right presents to give to each child. Picture the child's delight as they open a present and see your gift inside. You are giving the gift of joy and love and happiness.
You are able to drop off your gifts at the following locations:
In Church - On a Sunday when a service is on
At the Vicarage - In the porch during daylight hours
At our Foodbank Donation Point - 67 Overstone Road, Sywell
Closing date for donations is Sunday December 1st. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED GIFTS. WE TOOK OVER 2 CARLOADS OF TOYS TO THE FAMILY HUB IN WELLINGBOROUGH ON TUESDAY DECEMBER 3rd.
Bless you for your generosity. Do hold these families in your prayers in the lead up to and on Christmas morning.
Every blessing,
Revd Katrina
