Remembrance Services

A time for looking back and remembering...
... and for looking forward with hope

On Sunday November 10th, we will pause to remember those who gave their lives in past and present conflicts and who did not live to experience the peace that followed on from the fighting.  We'll also hold in our prayers those who still bear the scars of these wars, and their families too.  It is a day of remembrance and hope as we commit ourselves afresh to the cause of peace.  It is poignant to be doing this as war continues in the Middle East and n Ukraine.

We invite you to join us in our remembering.

At Church:

Hardwick - Sunday 10 November 2024 @ 9am
Gathering in church.

Mears Ashby - Sunday 10 November 2024 @ 10.50am
Gathering around the War Memorial in the churchyard before going into church.

Sywell - Sunday 10 November 2024 @ 10.50am
Gathering to remember in church and outside around the 3 RAF graves.

Do come and join in our Act of Remembrance and watch as wreaths are laid.  Pause with us to pray for world peace and to look forward with hope.  Remember... We can each make a difference in our daily lives.

At Home:

Alternatively, you may wish to pause at home at 11am for the two minutes' silence.

Our Prayers and Reflections for Sunday November 10th will be on the theme of looking back and remembering, looking forward with hope.  If you would like a copy, click on this LINK.  The Remembrance edition will be published on Thursday 7 November 2024.

And now these three remain:
faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.
