Risen Christ,
your wounds declare your love for our world
and the wonder of your risen life:
give us compassion and courage
to risk ourselves for those we serve,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Collect for Easter 5
In our Gospel reading, Jesus tells his team that he is the way and the truth and the life. It is a three-part promise to his followers who are about to experience the shock and surprise of the cross and the empty tomb. It is a reassuring promise that all will be OK.
