Risen Christ,
by the lakeside you renewed your call to your disciples:
help your Church to obey your command
and draw the nations to the fire of your love,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Collect for Easter 6
In our Gospel reading, Jesus makes a second promise to his team. When he is gone, the Holy Spirit will come to help the apostles share his good news and build his Church. The Spirit will enable them to feel close to Jesus and follow his teaching. He will be God's Go-Between. It is a deep and rich role to explore.
May this role speak to your heart.
