God the Father,
help us to hear the call of Christ the King
and to follow in his service,
whose kingdom has no end;
for he reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, one glory. Amen.
Collect for Christ the King
This week, we celebrate Christ as our King - a Servant King who came to offer everyone a place in his kingdom of love and peace, justice and hope. It is a truly inclusive kingdom - all are welcome, which is such a beautiful and powerful message for our time. Where our Lord is crowned king is a shocking setting - on the cross, a place of shame and failure, but not for our King. It is why our Gospel reading comes from Good Friday.
May this inspire our reflection on Christ our King.
