Risen Christ,
faithful shepherd of your Father's sheep:
teach us to hear your voice
and to follow your command,
that all your people may be gathered into one flock,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Collect for Easter 4
In our Gospel reading, Jesus talks about being the good shepherd whose sheep know his voice. They follow him. He takes great care of them. It is also a beautiful description of the friendship we find with him and within his church. Church is a friendship of followers.
As you read and reflect on this passage, I pray that you will feel that love that Jesus declares for us, May you love being one of his sheep.
